Picks And Predictions For Week 7 Matchup Against The Los Angeles Chargers

Local and national media members make their picks for a Week 7 road matchup with the Chargers.

Picks And Predictions Week 7

Pete Prisco of CBS Sports NFL is taking the Chargers to win at home over the Seahawks in a close 23-21 matchup. "This is a game for Justin Herbert to hit some shots down the field. The problem is Seattle can run it and the Chargers can't stop the run. The Seahawks will hang around."

Mike Florio of NBC Sport's Pro Football Talk is choosing the Seahawks to beat the Chargers 27-24 in Week 7. "The Chargers are too inconsistent. The Seahawks are gradually improving."

Bleacher Report's NFL staff finished with a panel that chose the Chargers to beat the Seahawks in a 33-31 tight game. "Refuse to believe Seattle's success is sustainable while believing the best is yet to come for the Chargers."

Jason Reed of Fansided has the Chargers over the Seahawks in Week 7 with a final score of 26-20. "As promising as Seattle's offense looks on the advanced analytics, I don't think they are going to be able to score enough to beat the Chargers. They will keep it close, but it will be a similar slog to the Monday Night Football game against Denver, with slightly more points."

ESPN's Seth Walder sides with the Seahawks to win 26-21 over the Chargers. "In Week 7 he (Kenneth Walker III) gets a leaky Chargers run defense that is coming off playing on Monday night in Week 6."

Adam H. Beasley and the rest of his writing staff are all choosing the Chargers to beat the Seahawks in their Week 7 matchup. "Meanwhile, Seattle's offense is a well-oiled machine. Geno Smith has been outstanding, and Kenneth Walker appears poised to replace Rashaad Penny admirably. But the big question is: can impressive rookie CB Tariq Woolen make a big play late in this game to secure a victory for Seattle?"

Eric D. Williams of Fox Sports has the Chargers beating the Seahawks in a close 27-23 game. "The Chargers should score enough points on offense and get stops defensively in critical moments of the game to secure a victory."

Matt Verderame has a very tight 29-28 matchup and is choosing Seattle over Los Angeles in Week 7. "Taking the upset here. The Chargers are 4-2 but look average with major struggles in certain areas on both sides of the ball. Seattle is playing with confidence, Geno Smith is looking like a long-term answer, and the defense gave up three points last week."
