Seahawks defensive tackle Al Woods was selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, a dream for the hometown LSU kid. But it's Seattle that keeps calling Woods' name, and in Woods' third stint with the Seahawks, he's making the most of it.

At 35-years-old, Woods is the oldest player on the Seahawks roster, but with age comes wisdom, and Woods has seen plenty in his 12 seasons in the NFL. In that span, Woods has played for seven franchises, including the Pittsburgh Steelers twice. After taking off 2020 to focus on his wife's pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Woods signed with the Seahawks in 2021. Woods put together a career-high 50 tackles, along with 1.5 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. In March, the Seahawks resigned their anchor in the middle.

Woods is off to a hot start in 2022, leading the Seahawks with three tackles for loss, nearly eclipsing his 2021 total in two games. In the Seahawks Week 2 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Woods' disruptiveness couldn't be fully measured by the stat sheet. A constant force in the run game and a presence in the backfield on passing downs, Woods was a nuisance for the 49ers interior offensive line. In the second quarter, Woods made a massive tackle for loss on 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price.

On the Seahawks third quarter goal-line stand in Week 1, Woods caused the disruption in the backfield that helped set up Uchenna Nwosu's forced fumble, which was scooped up by cornerback Mike Jackson.

As analyst Mike Golic Jr. points out, Al Woods is a problem - just for everyone else in the league.

It's apparent that Woods comes to play every week for Seattle, and despite his age - he's just getting revved up this season.

The Seahawks take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2 for their first road matchup of the 2022 Season.
