The Seahawks enjoyed plenty of success in 2020, going 12-4 to win the NFC West, but something important was missing last season, namely the presence of the fans who make Lumen Field one of the loudest venues in sports.
This season, however, the Seahawks will welcome their fans back to Lumen Field, where they will play in front of a full-capacity crowd, having received approval from the NFL and from state and local public health and government officials.
"Can't wait to see those 12s," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said. "Can't wait to see the 12s. I know they're coming, I know somebody is going to be in those stands. Can't wait to get you out there."
Said receiver Tyler Lockett, "Oh man, I'm excited to have them. You never know what it's like to not have something until you don't have it. And when we didn't have the fans, you could tell it was different… It taught me how not to take fans for granted, but how to be able to enjoy and be appreciative that people are actually there. So I'm excited for the fans to come back. I'm really excited just to be able to go out there—I always call it a concert because that's what it feels like ever since I first stepped on that football field. And so when the fans come back, it's time to get it going."
In following the Washington state's re-opening guidelines, fans will not be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend games, though those who are not vaccinated will be required to wear masks. And while vaccinations won't be required, the Seahawks encourage all fans to support community health by getting vaccinated. Carroll noted this offseason he hopes to have as many players vaccinated as possible prior to the start of training camp, and the same can be said when it comes to the health of the population as a whole.
"Ideally, we'd like everybody to be vaccinated before we report to camp just to make it as safe as possible for everyone," Carroll said earlier this offseason. As of the end of the offseason workout program last week, Carroll said close to 70 percent of the team's players, as well as the entire coaching staff, were expected to be vaccinated by the end of the week, with the hope being that "the bulk of the team" will be vaccinated by the start of camp.
Additional details for gameday will be communicated to ticket holders later this summer. Additionally, an announcement on fan attendance at training camp is expected to be made in mid-July.

If you resell your tickets through the NFL Ticket Exchange, the funds will process through to your account only after the game kicks off in order to protect both the buyer and seller in the event of any schedule or capacity changes.
