The Seahawks wrapped up Day 2 of the NFL Draft having added safety Nick Emmanwori out of South Carolina, tight end Elijah Arroyo of Miami and Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. Seahawks general manager and president of football operations John Schneider opened up the end of day press conference with, "Exciting day. This is a cool day in Seahawks history. It really is."

All three picks from Day 2 spoke with media after being drafted, here's what they had to say:

NICK EMMANWORI

After adding to their offensive line, addressing one of their biggest needs, on Day 1, the Seahawks added depth on the other side of the ball on Friday drafting Nick Emmanwori, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound safety out of South Carolina. Emmanwori was productive in college, leading the Gamecocks with 88 tackles and three tackles for loss. Emmanwori also had four interceptions, two of them he returned for touchdowns. He was named first-team All-SEC, earned AP first-team All-America honors and was named SEC Player of the Year, SEC Defensive Player of the Year and SEC Safety of the Year by College Football Nation.

Emmanwori said he was, "happy they came and got me. It felt great when I went up there for the visit. I talked to the coaches and had a great visit. I felt the most connected with them. If there was anybody to do it, I knew it would be them."

He was drafted No. 35 overall, very early in the second round, but Emmanwori saw himself being taken higher than that.

"I had higher expectations for myself as far as going in the first, but God had other plans and a different path for me. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, but I'm going to make them all pay for that, for sure."

Adding he's ready to prove himself.

"I was already entering the league with something on my mind," Emmanwori said. "Like a goal I had or a vision I had or a little chip. But now everybody is on my list. Everybody is on my list right now."

ELIJAH ARROYO

The Seahawks added another pass-catcher to their arsenal, drafting Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo who caught 35 passes for 590 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 16.9 yards per reception last season for the Hurricanes.

Arroyo earned second-team All-ACC honors for his final season performance.

"Wherever I'm a receiver, I feel like that's where I thrive," he said. "Just being able to spread out and create mismatches."

He added that Seahawks are getting a player who is dependable. "I would say, first of all, consistent. I'm an elite competitor. You look on film, you know exactly what you're going to get with me. Tremendous effort and everything out of me, just in general. In the passing game, I can stretch the field. I'm basically like a receiver out there. I can run every route on the route tree. I understand how to get open, I understand zones. I feel like I'm a great overall tight end."

JALEN MILROE

"Belt to a**."

That was the message coming out of Jalen Milroe's first conference call with Seahawks media after being drafted No. 92 overall. The quarterback out of Alabama was asked if he thinks he is the best quarterback in the draft and if he had a message to teams who passed on him, Milroe responded with a short but simple response that didn't need an explanation.

In his two years at Alabama, Milroe passed for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 64.3 percent of his passes. And Milroe also showed an ability to use his legs, rushing for a team-leading 726 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns. And despite that message for teams who passed on him, he didn't let where he was drafted bother him.

"No matter where I was drafted, I still have to come in and prove myself and earn the trust and respect of guys in the locker room. So it wasn't a necessity to hear my name called early on or later on. It didn't really matter to me. It was more to hear my name called because I know that team is all on me and they saw something in me that other teams didn't. It was all about opportunity. It didn't really matter when I was selected."

Although the Seahawks currently have four quarterbacks on the roster in Sam Darnold, Drew Lock, Sam Howell and Jaren Hall, Milroe knows what he brings will be an asset to Seattle.

"There's nothing I can't do on the football field. Are there things I can improve on? Absolutely. But there's nothing I can do on the football field. I've thrown every type of touchdown, stepped up in the pocket, thrown on the run, gone through my progressions, I've thrown a checkdown that scored, I've used my legs. When looking, pick and choose what you want on the field, I can do it. I say that humbly, not over-arrogant, it's just more knowing what I bring to the table and knowing that it's a different dynamic on the football field that I know I'm going to utilize in the NFL."

The Seahawks head into the final day on the Draft with five picks, a fourth-round pick (137), two fifth-round picks (172, 175) and two seventh-round picks (223, 234).
