The Seahawks will be practicing at Lumen Field, as part of training camp, on Saturday, to give fans a chance to experience Seahawks football inside the stadium. "Oh, it's going to be great," Macdonald said. "Fans will be there, it'll be rocking, we'll simulate a lot of cool game situations. A lot of things are on the line. (A) bigger stage, (you) see who comes alive, who starts to make plays. That'll be a lot of fun. Just having the fans, being in the stadium, going through the locker room, pregame operation, those things."
This is another training camp practice, just in a different atmosphere, so coaches will also be working on making sure they're all set to go for during the season.
"As coaches, again, more reps at the operation we'll get, coaches in the box, we're working the headsets, back-and-forth between all the people, so, I got to get used to hitting all the buttons. I need as much practice as anybody else," Macdonald said.
Along with being able to watch the team practice, fans will have meet and greet opportunities with Seahawks Legends, gaming zones, face painters, and post practice, players will be tossing out autographed footballs.
Before the game, the Seahawks, in partnership with KING 5, Safeway and Northwest Harvest, are hosting a food drive.Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishables, to donate to bins located outside of the stadium. Anyone who donates can enter to win a pair of tickets for the Seahawks home opener against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 8th.
