FOXBOROUGH—The Seahawks improved to 2-0 on Sunday with a 23-20 overtime win over the New England Patriots, and while a couple of players left the game with injury, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald indicated neither were serious.

Linebacker Jerome Baker, who came into the game listed as questionable, injured his hamstring and, after very briefly returning, came out and did not finish the game, with rookie Tyrice Knight taking over at Baker's weakside linebacker spot.

After the game, Macdonald said of Baker, "I think he's going to be all right."

Macdonald said it is a similar situation for outside linebacker Boye Mafe, who left with a knee injury late in regulation.

"He's got like a knee contusion," Macdonald said. "I think he just got banged in the knee. Might have been the last drive before overtime. We'll see with all that stuff. We'll see how it all shakes out."

Outside linebacker Derick Hall also came out of the game briefly to be evaluated for a concussion, but he was cleared to return.

The Seahawks came into the game with four players inactive due to injuries: running back Kenneth Walker III, tackle George Fant, tight end Pharaoh Brown and outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu.

Must-see shots of the Seahawks at their Week 2 game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
