While the 2022 NFL schedule won't be released until sometime this spring—last year the schedule release was in mid-May—the end of the 2021 season means we do know all of the Seahawks' opponents for next season.
Most of next season's opponents were determined ahead of time based on the NFL's schedule formula that has teams rotate which divisions they face each year outside of their own division, with Seattle facing the teams from AFC West and the NFC South in 2022, but until the standing are finalized, a few opponents aren't known.
In addition to their usual slate of NFC West games as well as those against the AFC West and NFC South, the Seahawks round out their schedule with games against like finishers in the NFC North, NFC East and AFC East. In this case with the Seahawks finishing in last place for the first time since 1996, they'll face the last-place teams from those divisions: the Detroit Lions, the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
As always, the Seahawks will face their three NFC West opponents at home and on the road, and in 2022 the other teams visiting Lumen Field will be the Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers, the Denver Broncos, the Las Vegas Raiders, the New York Giants and the New York Jets.
Seattle's road schedule will feature the usual NFC West opponents, as well as road games against the New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers and the Detroit Lions.
