The Seahawks elevated tight end Colby Parkinson and tackle Cedric Ogbuehi from injured reserve, adding depth at two positions of need heading into this weekend's game against the 49ers.
Running back Rashaad Penny was placed on injured reserve, and there was already one open spot on the roster with tight end Gerald Everett on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Additionally, linebacker Benson Mayowa, who was listed as questionable Friday with a neck injury, has been downgraded to out.
Parkinson, who injured his foot in training camp, will provide depth at tight end with Everett still on the COVID-19 list, while Ogbuehi gives Seattle another option at right tackle with Brandon Shell ruled out due to an ankle injury. Jamarco Jones started in that spot last week with rookie Jake Curhan also playing. Last season, Ogbuehi started four games in place of an injured Shell late in the season.
The Seahawks also elevated receiver Cody Thompson from the practice squad for the second straight week. He will revert to the practice squad Monday without being subject to waivers.
