Fifth-year Seattle wideout DK Metcalf needs two yards to record the third 1,000-yard season of his career. Through 14 games played, the 26-year-old has scored eight touchdowns on 60 receptions. Metcalf's 16.6 yards per catch is the highest average of his career, as he heads into Week 17 ranking top-five in several “Big Play” categories.
In Sunday's 20-17 comeback victory over the Tennessee Titans, Metcalf recorded his fifth score in four games, along with his fourth-consecutive game of 50-plus yards. Currently, Metcalf is tied for ninth among receivers league-wide in 20-plus-yard plays with 16. And the Ole Miss alum continues to climb the rankings by each 10-yards gained. Metcalf is currently tied for second on 30-plus-yard plays with nine, tied for fourth on 40-plus-yard-plays with four, and tied for second in 50-plus-yard plays with three. In Week 13, Metcalf scored a 73-yard touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys, which is the 10th longest reception by a receiver in 2023.
Metcalf will look to help Seattle defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, as the Seahawks look to maintain their current playoff position.
