Each week during the 2024 season, different captains will be named heading into the matchup.
Here are the four captains for Week 4 of the 2024 season:
- S Coby Bryant
- WR DK Metcalf
- G Laken Tomlinson
- DT Johnathan Hankins
Earlier this week head coach Mike Macdonald said safety Coby Bryant was, "Doing the right things over and over again." Adding that Bryant was showing enough in practice to earn the playing time, and now he's been named a captain for Week 4. Macdonald said, "I couldn't wait for Coby (Bryant) to go out there in dime and see what he did. That was cool."
DK Metcalf is coming off his back-to-back 100+ receiving yard games and heads into the Monday night matchup a captain.
Drafted by the Lions in 2015, Laken Tomlinson will return to Ford Field for the first time since playing for them from 2015-16.
Johnathan Hankins gets to return to his hometown when the team travels to Detroit. Hankins grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and says that he has about 20 or so family members coming to watch him play on Monday, saying it will be nice to play in front of friends and family. "Got a lot of people asking for some tickets, so I'm trying to work through that."
