Bruce Irvin will be back in action for the Seahawks on Sunday, having been activated from the practice squad ahead of Seattle's Week 7 game against the Chargers.
Also activated was cornerback Xavier Crawford, while cornerback Isaiah Dunn was placed on injured reserve. Additionally, safety Joey Blount has been added to the injury report as questionable due to an illness.
For Irvin, the Seahawks' first-round pick in 2012, this will be his first game with the Seahawks since tearing his ACL in Week 2 of the 2020 season, an injury that cut short his second stint with the team. He finished last season with the Bears, appearing in six games, then after working out and looking for a shot with a team in 2022, he signed to Seattle's practice squad two weeks ago, not long after setting a self-imposed three-week deadline to find a spot on a team or retire.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Irvin had a good second week of practice, making him ready for game action this week.
"He's much further along," Carroll said Friday. "It was too much to ask of him last week. This worked out fine, so we're thinking he's ready to play, and we're not hesitant on that thought at all."
