After elevating Carson Tinker off the practice squad for Monday's game, the Seahawks added him to the 53-man roster, placing Tyler Ott on injured reserve.
The Seahawks placed longtime long snapper Tyler Ott on injured reserve Wednesday, the result of a shoulder injury that caused him to miss Monday's season-opener. To replace Ott, the Seahawks added long snapper Carson Tinker to the 53-man roster.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said last week that Ott's injury likely would require surgery.
Tinker, who signed to the practice squad last week, filled in for Ott in Monday night's game as a practice squad elevation, and was accurate on his snaps on two extra points, one field goal and two punts.
The Seahawks also signed safety Scott Nelson to the practice squad a week after releasing him to make room for Tinker's signing.
