The Seahawks signed guard Phil Haynes off of their practice squad Saturday, giving them offensive line depth with starting guard Damien Lewis out with an elbow injury.
Seattle also activated cornerback Nigel Warrior off of injured reserve, another move that adds depth to a position affected by injuries, with cornerback Tre Brown out for the year with a knee injury.
Brown and tackle Jamarco Jones were both placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster.
Haynes, who was a fourth-round pick out of Wake Forrest in 2019, battled injuries his first two seasons, but saw his most extensive playing time in the playoffs at the end of his rookie season.
Warrior, who is the son of former Pro-Bowl cornerback Dale Carter, was claimed off waivers before the start of the season, then placed on injured reserve ahead of the regular-season opener.
The Seahawks can still make more moves on Sunday, and could potentially elevate a running back off of the practice squad with both Travis Homer and Rashaad Penny ruled out due to injury. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Saturday that rookie Josh Johnson could possibly be elevated to add depth at running back.
