The Seahawks added more offensive line help, signing former New York Jets starting right tackle Brandon Shell.
Shell, a 2016 fifth-round pick out of South Carolina, became the Jets' starting right tackle in 2017, and has started 37 of 41 games played over the past three years. Shell is the third offensive lineman signed by Seattle so far in free agency, joining center/guard B.J. Finney and tackle Cedric Ogbuehi, whose additions both became official on Monday.
He gives the Seahawks added depth at tackle with George Fant reportedly reaching a deal with the Jets last week, and with Germain Ifedi currently an unrestricted free agent.
