The Seahawks added depth at running back Wednesday, signing Darwin Thompson to a future contract.
Thompson, who was a sixth-round pick out of Utah State in 2019, spent his first two seasons in Kansas City where he appeared in 26 games for the Chiefs, rushing for 225 yards and two touchdowns on 64 carries, and also had 108 receiving yards and a touchdown on 16 receptions. Thompson spent last season on Tampa Bay's practice squad, the signed to Kansas City's practice squad during the postseason.
After starting his college career at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, Thompson transferred to Utah State where he rushed for 1,044 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2018, earning second-team All-Mountain West honors.
