The Seahawks signed second-round pick DK Metcalf on Wednesday, meaning only one member of the 11-player 2019 class remains unsigned, third-round pick Cody Barton.
Metcalf, the player Seahawks coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider said they were most surprised to be able to select where they picked him, was selected at the end of the second round, and has made a strong first impression not just with his impressive combination of size and speed, but also with how quickly he has picked things up.
"The thing that's most impressive is how well he learns," Carroll said. "It makes sense to him, it comes easy to him, he can make things look like it's supposed to look in anything that we're asking him to do—route-wise, concept-wise, there's no ceiling on his play at all. He has got a tremendous top end."
