A day after waiving linebacker Jon Rhattigan, the Seahawks brought back the third-year linebacker, signing him to the practice squad. Rhattigan was one of three practice squad signings Thursday along with guard Ben Brown and cornerback Robert Rochell.
Quarterback Holton Ahlers and guard Greg Eiland were released from the practice squad to make room for those additions.
Rhattigan, who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent out of Army in 2021, was a special teams standout as a rookie, recording 10 tackles on special teams before suffering a late-season ACL tear, an injury that limited him to five games last season.
Brown, who went undrafted out of Mississippi in 2022, signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent, then spent his rookie year on injured reserve. He was waived by the Bengals Tuesday as part of their roster cuts.
Rochell, a 2021 fourth-round pick of the Rams, started five games as a rookie, then appeared in all 17 games last season, playing primarily on special teams.
