The Seahawks signed receiver Laquon Treadwell, a former first-round pick, to their practice squad on Tuesday.
Receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside was released to make room on the practice squad.
Treadwell was selected by Minnesota in the first round of the 2016 draft following a standout career at Mississippi, and spent four seasons with the Vikings before signing with Atlanta in 2020 and Jacksonville last season. Most recently, Treadwell spent time on the practice squad in New England and Arizona this season.
Over the course of six seasons, Treadwell has appeared in 70 games, starting 23, with 104 receptions for 1,184 yards and five touchdowns. His career-long catch, a 58-yard touchdown, came in Seattle in a 2019 Seahawks win over the Vikings.
Arcega-Whiteside, a former second-round pick of the Eagles, was traded to Seattle during training camp in exchange for defensive back Ugo Amadi.
