The Seahawks tendered qualifying offers Wednesday to restricted free agents Michael Jackson and Jon Rhattigan. Outside linebacker Darrell Taylor, who was also a restricted free agent, was re-signed prior to the deadline, avoiding an RFA tender.

The Seahawks placed a fifth-round tender on Jackson, and a right-of-first-refusal tender on Rhattigan, meaning if another team were to sign Jackson to an offer sheet the Seahawks didn't match, Seattle would receive a fifth-round pick as compensation, while if Rhattigan were to sign an offer sheet elsewhere, the Seahawks could match that offer, but would receive no compensation if they chose not to match.

Jackson, who first joined the Seahawks as a member of the practice squad in 2021, has become a big contributor the past two seasons, starting all 17 games at right cornerback in 2022, and appearing in 17 games with four starts last season.

Rhattigan, who signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2021, has been one of the team's top special teams contributors throughout his time in Seattle, appearing in 36 games, including all 17 last year when he had nine special teams tackles.

Taylor, a second-round pick in 2020, missed his rookie season due to an injury suffered during his final season at Tennessee, but over the past three seasons has recorded 21.5 sacks in 49 games, including a career-high 9.5 sacks in 2022.

The Seahawks did not extend a qualifying offer to tackle Jake Curhan, making him an unrestricted free agent.
