Seahawks vs. Vikings Week 16 Inactives

Details on the Seahawks’ inactive list ahead for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

16x9 (29)

The Seahawks will host the Vikings with a mostly healthy roster on Sunday, including the return of running back Kenneth Walker III, who missed the previous two games with a calf injury.

Also active, as expected, is quarterback Geno Smith, who exited last week's game with a knee injury, but he was able to practice fully this week. Running back Zach Charbonnet is also active after popping up on the injury report with an oblique injury that caused him to miss Wednesday's practice.

The only player inactive due to injury is tight end Brady Russell, who was ruled out on Friday due to a foot injury. Also ruled out were outside linebacker Trevis Gipson, who was then placed on injured reserve Saturday, and safety K'Von Wallace, who has retuned to practice from injured reserve but not yet been activated to the 53-man roster.

With tackle Stone Forsythe returning from injured reserve, he is active as a backup swing tackle, while rookie Michael Jerrell is inactive.

Cornerback Artie Burns is active after being elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, while quarterback Jaren Hall, who was signed to the 53-man roster on Saturday, is inactive, but will dress as the emergency third quarterback, meaning he does not count towards the game-day 48-player limit, but could still play if both Smith and backup Sam Howell were to leave the game with injuries.

Here are the inactive lists for both teams:

Seattle Seahawks

  • CB Nehemiah Pritchett
  • TE Brady Russell
  • LB Patrick O'Connell
  • T Michael Jerrell
  • WR Cody White
  • QB Jaren Hall (emergency third QB)

Minnesota Vikings

  • QB Brett Rypien
  • S Harrison Smith
  • CB Fabian Moreau
  • TE Nick Muse
  • DL Jalen Redmond
  • C Dan Feeney
  • T Walter Rouse

The Seahawks arrived at Lumen Field for their Week 16 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
