The Seahawks waived cornerback Artie Burns on Tuesday, opening a spot on their 53-man roster.
Additionally, defensive end DeVere Levelston was released from the practice squad.
Burns, who initially signed with the Seahawks as a free agent in 2022, has appeared in 17 games over three seasons, seeing most of his playing time last year when he appeared in 14 games with one start. Burns spent most of this season on injured reserve due to a toe injury before being activated to the 53-man roster last weekend.
Levelston, a rookie out of SMU, signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in May.
