NFL Week 14: Running Back Starters
START Rico Dowdle
In Week 12, Dowdle finished as RB6 in fantasy football, rushing for 112 yards and a TD. Cincinnati allows an AFC-high 28.3 points per game and the rushing defense ranks 22nd in the league. Dallas-Cincinnati will likely be a higher-scoring affair that will lead to more good fantasy production from Dowdle.
START Nick Chubb
In the past two games, Chubb notched three TDs from scrimmage. He rushed for two scores against the Steelers in Week 12. Pittsburgh allowed 38 points last week and Chubb will be the goal-line finisher for a Browns offense led by the gunslinging Jameis Winston. The Steelers allowed seven rushing TDs in the last four weeks, tied for the most in the NFL.
START Tyrone Tracy Jr.
At this point of the season, the Giants can look to the future with their promising rookie RB, who along with WR Malik Nabers, provides hope for the offense. Tracy is elusive and can turn on the jets when he sees an opening. New Orleans ranks 25th in FFPG allowed to RBs.
START D'Andre Swift
This is a good spot for the Bears running back to bounce back after two quieter rushing performances, in which he still totaled over 70 scrimmage yards in each game. The 49ers have allowed the most Fantasy Points Per Game to RBs over the past four weeks, and the second-most rushing yards to the position during that span.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Waiver Wire Running Backs
- Isaac Guerendo: He is the most coveted fantasy football pickup of the week, taking over as the lead RB for San Francisco in place of the injured Christian McCaffrey. Patrick Taylor Jr. may also figure in the mix and is an interesting alternative for depth.
- Kimani Vidal: The Chargers rookie might push for more playing time soon.
- Jaleel McLaughlin: He is looking like the lead RB option for Denver right now after rushing for a career-high 84 yards against the Browns.
- Sincere McCormick: The Raiders RB averaged 5.3 yards per carry last week and may see more quality work during the remainder of the season.
- Chris Rodriguez Jr: Rushed for 94 yards last week and is the top alternative to Brian Robinson Jr. for Washington.
- Braelon Allen: Could see more field time in the final weeks of the season for the Jets.
- Zach Charbonnet: In Week 13, Charbonnet rushed for his sixth TD of the season, and he must be rostered as the top fantasy insurance RB for those who start Walker. Charbonnet contributed with timely physical runs in the comeback win over the Jets.
- Jaylen Wright: Must be rostered for fantasy insurance by those who have De'Von Achane on their team.
- Ray Davis: The rookie rushed for his third TD of the season last week and is the essential fantasy insurance back to roster if James Cook is on your team.
- Cam Akers: The fantasy insurance RB for Aaron Jones.
- Trey Benson: The fantasy insurance RB for James Conner.
- Justice Hill: The fantasy insurance RB for Derrick Henry.
- Blake Corum: The fantasy insurance RB for Kyren Williams.
NFL Week 14: Wide Receiver Starters
START Jakobi Meyers
Aidan O'Connell pumped some new life into the Las Vegas offense last week, and now the Raiders get a very exploitable matchup with Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are a consistently good fantasy draw for WRs, ranking 29th in FFPG allowed to the position. In the last four games, Meyers topped 95 yards three times and totaled 28 receptions on 43 targets.
START DeAndre Hopkins
The Chiefs can remind everyone they are still the defending champs with a convincing win over the Chargers. Even if this is another close game involving Kansas City, though, Hopkins should be a key performer in any game script. Los Angeles has allowed an NFL-high six TD receptions to WRs over the past four weeks.
START Jordan Addison
Minnesota needs another win to keep pace in the highly competitive NFC North while maintaining a hold on a prime wild card position. Atlanta ranks 28th in FFPG allowed to WRs and Addison should be busy as Justin Jefferson commands heavy defensive attention.
START Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
His unreal recent run of TD receptions is spotlighted in the waivers section below. Jacksonville has allowed the third-most FFPG to WRs this season, so we may see some quality yardage totals added to the "NWI" stat line this week.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Waiver Wire Wide Receivers
- Keon Coleman: When he returns from a wrist injury, Coleman should regain a prominent role in the Buffalo offense.
- Marquez Valdes-Scantling: The New Orleans deep threat remains widely available, even after catching four TD passes in the last three games. Derek Carr has taken to "MVS" as a prime playmaking option.
- Elijah Moore: The Browns WR is an upside target with Winston flinging the ball so often. Moore has registered 18-plus PPR points in two of his past three games.
- Adam Thielen: Bryce Young continues to improve, and a healthy Thielen caught eight passes for 99 yards and a TD vs. Tampa Bay.
- Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: He is on an amazing TD run, with eight scoring receptions in eight games. Hop on for the fantasy ride.
- Parker Washington: He caught six passes for 103 yards and a TD in Week 13 and should be added for depth and possible Week 14 streaming.
- Xavier Legette: The potential is there for quality production to finish out his rookie year.
- Tre Tucker: In the past two games, Tucker totaled 140 receiving yards.
- Demarcus Robinson: The Rams WR is up to seven TD receptions on the season.
- Ray-Ray McCloud: With two consecutive double-figure PPR outings, McCloud is a viable depth add for the fantasy playoffs.
NFL Week 14: Quarterback Starters
START Baker Mayfield
Expect passing upside from Mayfield this week. Mike Evans is back in action and the Raiders rank 26th in FFPG allowed to QBs. We may see a lot of points put on the board by the Buccaneers and Raiders as the two teams trade offensive punches.
START Sam Darnold
As indicated previously, the Vikings want to sustain momentum in their matchup with the Falcons. Atlanta ranks 25thin FFPG allowed to QBs. Darnold passed for two TDs in each of the last three games.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Waiver Wire Quarterbacks
- Jameis Winston: He passed for a career-best 497 yards and four TDs in Week 13 and will continue to aggressively attack any defense he faces.
- Russell Wilson: In a shootout with the Bengals, Wilson passed for the second-most yards of his career (41). It was the most since he totaled 452 with the Seahawks against the Texans in 2017. Wilson has re-emerged as a viable fantasy starting option with the Steelers. You can vote for him as one of the Top 50 All-Time Seahawks players here.
- Will Levis: Consider starting Levis in Week 14 as a bye week streamer. The Jaguars field the lowest-ranked pass defense in the NFL, and Levis passed for two TDs in each of the past two games, with 270-plus yards in two of the last three.
- Aidan O'Connell: Passing for 340 yards against the usually sturdy Kansas City defense was a signal that O'Connell should be added as a No. 2 fantasy QB. In superflex leagues, where you can start a second QB at a flex spot, he can be activated for a good Week 14 matchup vs. Tampa Bay's 30th-ranked pass defense.
- Bryce Young: Under Carolina head coach and former Seahawks QB coach Dave Canales, Young is performing better recently and can be picked up as a fantasy backup for the playoffs.
NFL Week 14: Tight End Starters
START Pat Freiermuth
The Browns have allowed the most FFPG to TEs over the past four weeks. Freiermuth finished with six receptions for 68 yards and a TD last week, He can be utilized for at least respectable fantasy totals.
START Will Dissly
The Chiefs defense ranks 30th in FFPG allowed to TEs. The former Seahawks TE can be an important pass-catcher for the Chargers this week. Dissly is capable of a double-figure fantasy point performance as a Week 14 streamer.
Fantasy Football Rankings: Waiver Wire Tight Ends
- Juwan Johnson: With Taysom Hill now out for the Saints, Johnson may see more frequent targets. He finished with five receptions on seven targets in Week 13.
- Noah Gray: After catching two TD passes in consecutive games, Gray was targeted six times last week. He is an apparent trusted option for Patrick Mahomes on key passing downs.
- Dalton Schultz: The Houston TE caught five passes on seven targets in two of his last three games.
- Austin Hooper: In each of the last two games, Hooper has a TD reception. In the past four weeks, the New England TE has scored 7.5-plus fantasy points.
Week 14 Defensive Streamers: Tennessee (vs. Jacksonville), New Orleans (vs. New York Giants), Minnesota (vs. Atlanta), Miami (vs. New York Jets).
