Week 13 Fantasy Football Advice: Starters And Top Waiver Adds
Running Backs
Start Kenneth Walker III: He rushed for two touchdowns in Week 12, boosting his fantasy output for the day. Walker finished with 16.9 fantasy points for the week and he has a safe statistical floor as a fantasy football RB2. He has scored 12-plus fantasy points in seven consecutive games. Walker has nine rushing TDs during that span, which ranks second in the NFC and fourth in the NFL, and consider he did not become a starter for the Seahawks until Week 5. As the primary goal-line rushing finisher for the Seahawks offense, which ranks second in the NFC and fourth in the league in points per game (26.5). Walker should continue to be utilized with confidence in fantasy football.
Start Brian Robinson Jr.: Robinson is coming off the best game of his rookie campaign, as he rushed for 105 yards on 18 carries. The Commanders have won six of their past seven games and Robinson is a consistent goal-line rushing threat for Washington. The Giants have allowed five rushing TDs in the past four weeks, most in the NFC. It has been sometimes tough to predict who will deliver better fantasy production from the Washington RBs between Robinson and Antonio Gibson, but Robinson is building momentum. He is a good bet to find the end zone this week in an important NFC East matchup.
Start Tony Pollard: The Dallas RB is an upside play who is highly efficient. Pollard is averaging 5.6 yards per carry, which currently leads all healthy players at his position. The Cowboys may race out to a big lead against the Colts, and both of their top RBs can be significant contributors to Dallas' offensive success. Pollard can score from anywhere on the field and the Colts rank 19th in rushing yards allowed to RBs.
Start Dameon Pierce: The Texans rookie has 16 rushing yards on 15 carries in his last two games. Expect a rebound performance in a good matchup. Cleveland has allowed the second-most Fantasy Points Per Game to running backs this season and over the past four weeks. Pierce should be considered for flex usage in Week 13.
Add Jaylen Warren: Najee Harris suffered an abdomen injury on Monday night, and if Warren can return from a hamstring injury soon, he can possibly operate as Pittsburgh's lead RB. Warren has averaged five yards per carry this season and he can deliver quality dual-threat fantasy production as a starter for Pittsburgh.
Add J.K. Dobbins: He has been designated to return from injured reserve, and Dobbins should soon return after recovering from knee surgery. Having quality running back depth will be important during the fantasy playoffs, and Dobbins can potentially be worthy of flex consideration during that portion of the schedule. Dobbins can regain a key role in the AFC's best rushing offense once he is back in action and ready to play frequently.
Add Kyren Williams: Williams had 60 yards from scrimmage in Week 12, and he played on 70 percent of the snaps. It appears he may be ticketed to see a significant amount of work as a runner and receiver in the weeks ahead. Williams should not be started yet, but he should certainly be added for RB depth.
Wide Receivers
Start DeVonta Smith: He has been targeted eight-plus times in his each of his past three games. Smith should continue to see an increasing role in the Philadelphia passing game, especially with A.J. Brown commanding much defensive attention. The Titans have allowed the second-most Fantasy Points Per Game and TD catches (14) to WRs this season.Â
Start Treylon Burks:Â The ascending first-year WR has totaled 181 receiving yards in his last two games. Burks will continue to be targeted often and he should be regularly considered for starting WR3 usage in fantasy football. The Eagles rank 24th in receiving yards allowed to WRs over the past four weeks.Â
Start Courtland Sutton:Â Denver's No. 1 WR should provide respectable fantasy production in Week 13. The Ravens have allowed the third-most total receptions to WRs this season. Sutton has been targeted 26 times in his last three games, and he has 17 receptions during that span. He also has 75-plus receiving yards in each of his past two games.Â
Start George Pickens:Â Kenny Pickett is starting to show true signs of making strides as a pro passer, and Pickens is one of his favored targets, especially when he looks downfield. The rookie wideout has receptions of 30-plus yards in each of his past two games. Pickett should hit Pickens with some significant strikes against the Falcons' 28th-ranked pass defense this week. Atlanta has allowed an NFL-high 15 TD receptions to WRs.Â
Add Darius Slayton:Â The Giants' No. 1 WR is still available as a free agent in some fantasy football leagues, so be sure to check your waiver wire. He has been targeted 16 times in his past two games and he has 85-plus receiving yards in two of his past three. Slayton is an ideal add for fantasy WR depth, as he is a good fourth WR to roster. He also deserves regular flex consideration.Â
Add Zay Jones: He had a career-high 145 receiving yards in Week 12. Jones caught 11 balls on 14 targets, and he has been targeted 24 times in the past two games. As Trevor Lawrence continues to progress and improve, Jones will be worthy of frequent PPR consideration. This week he faces the Lions, who rank 29th in receptions allowed to WRs over the past four weeks.Â
Add Elijah Moore: The insertion of Mike White into the Jets' lineup at QB has instantly elevated the outlook of both of their top young WRs. Garrett Wilson is a must-start, and Moore caught his first TD of the season in Week 12. He also had a 42-yard reception, his longest of the year. The Vikings have allowed the most Fantasy Points Per Game to WRs over the past four weeks, so Moore can display his promise again this week.Â
Add Donovan Peoples-Jones: Deshaun Watson is readying to make his Browns debut, and it should not be long before he starts to favor Peoples-Jones as a downfield weapon. The Cleveland WR is averaging 14.1 yards per reception this season, and he has averaged 16.6 for his career. Once Watson gets comfortable as a starter again, Peoples-Jones will have considerable potential as a splash playmaker for the Browns.
Quarterbacks And Tight Ends
Start Trevor Lawrence: The second-year man is coming off one of the best performances of his career, as he passed for 321 yards with three TDs and no interceptions in a thrilling win over the Ravens. The Lions have allowed the most FFPG to QBs this season, and we may see Lawrence engage in a shootout with Detroit.
Start Jimmy Garoppolo: In a marquee Week 13 matchup, the 49ers take on the Dolphins, and Garoppolo is a quality fantasy QB option who should be good for at least two TD passes. Miami ranks 30th in FFPG allowed to QBs, and will have its hands full trying to contain Garoppolo's multiple weapons.
Add Mike White: In his first start of the 2022 season, White instantly sparked the New York offense. He passed for 315 yards, three TDs and no interceptions against the Bears. White faces Minnesota's pass defense, which ranks last in the NFL, so White can confirm he that he is a viable fantasy option this week.
Start David Njoku: He made a clutch TD catch in a win over Tampa Bay last week, and Njoku is healthy again and now gets to work with Watson. Houston ranks 26th in receiving yards allowed to TEs in the last four weeks.
Start Evan Engram: The Lions are a good matchup draw for tight ends. They rank 28th in FFPG allowed to TEs, and have allowed seven TD receptions to the position, which ranks 30th in the NFL.
Add Tyler Conklin: He is another Jets pass-catcher who sees his potential production improve with White at QB. Conklin had three catches for 50 yards against Chicago and he can deliver satisfactory fantasy totals in the weeks ahead.
