Branden Jackson's absence from the Seahawks wasn't a lengthy one, with Jackson re-signing with Seattle on Thursday, less than two weeks after being released.
Jackson, 27, first joined the Seahawks in 2017 and has spent time on both the active roster and practice squad over the past three seasons. Jackson appeared in a career-high 15 games with three starts in 2019. He re-signed as a restricted free agent earlier in April before being released on July 26.
Jackson, who had 2.0 sacks, two passes defensed and 20 tackles last season, appeared in 21 games in 2017 and 2018, starting one. Jackson went undrafted out of Texas Tech in 2016 and began his NFL career with the Oakland Raiders, appearing in three games as a rookie.
Jackson's signing leaves the Seahawks with 79 players currently on the roster.
