The Seahawks signed cornerback Tyler Hall and nose tackle Matt Gotel to their practice squad on Tuesday.

Running back George Holani was placed on practice squad injured reserve and safety Marquise Blair was released to make room for those two signings

Gotel, who is from Lakewood, Washington, began his NFL career in 2022, signing with Seattle as an undrafted free agent, and has also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. Gotel finished last season on Seattle's practice squad and was enjoying a strong start to training camp this year before suffering an ankle injury that landed him on injured reserve. He was later released from injured reserve with an injury settlement, making him a free agent.

Gotel gives the Seahawks added interior line depth with Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II both dealing with injuries that knocked them out of Sunday's win over the Dolphins.

Hall, who went undrafted out of Wyoming in 2020, has spent time with the Falcons, Rams, Raiders and Eagles over the past four seasons, appearing in 31 games with six starts, primarily playing in the slot as a nickel corner. After spending the past three seasons with the Raiders, Hall signed with Philadelphia as a free agent in March, but was placed on injured reserve in August, then released with an injury settlement.

Holani, an undrafted rookie out of Boise State, was elevated from the practice squad for Seattle's Week 2 game against New England, but injured his ankle in that game, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said last week. Blair, a second-round pick in 2019, spent his first three seasons in Seattle, then spent the 2022 season with Carolina before missing the 2023 season due to an Achilles injury. He returned to Seattle in August, and was elevated from the practice squad for Seattle's Week 1 win over the Broncos. Blair was released from the practice squad last week, then re-signed to the practice squad on Saturday.
