The Seahawks placed right guard Anthony Bradford on injured reserve, the result of the ankle injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.

Linebacker Patrick O'Connell was signed from the practice squad to fill the open roster spot. O'Connell, who initially signed with the Seahawks last year as an undrafted rookie out of Montana, has appeared in three games this season as a practice squad elevation, playing 30 snaps on special teams.

Additionally, outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and tackle Stone Forsythe were designated to return to practice. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Monday that Nwosu, who went on injured reserve with a thigh injury suffered in Week 5, would practice this week, but is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Jets. Forsythe, who started five games this season following George Fant's knee injury in Week 1, has been on injured reserve since last month due to a hand injury.

With O'Connell signing to the active roster, running back George Holani has been restored to the practice squad from practice squad injured reserve.

With Bradford out, the Seahawks will need a new starter at right guard, and while the likely candidate would seem to be Christian Haynes, who took over in last week's game, and who earlier this season was splitting playing time with Bradford, Macdonald said this week that fellow rookie Sataoa Laumea will also get a look in that spot.

"Sataoa is someone we're going to take a long look at as well," Macdonald said when asked about Haynes in that role. "But Christian played winning football for us, but we want him to grow. Keep growing man, you've got to go prove it every week on the practice field and in preparation. But right now, he deserves all the credit for being a guy that was rotating in, then AB took over, he still prepared, knew all the things that we—no mentals on the day, but some technique stuff we've got to get cleaned up. But overall, good enough to win the game, so, happy with his ability to step in and help us win the football game."

Coaches, players and staff across the league will wear customized cleats in honor of causes that are important to them as part of 'My Cause My Cleats'. Check out the custom cleats that Seahawks players and staff will wear for this year's 'My Cause My Cleats' league-wide initiative.
