The Seahawks signed Godwin Igwebuike to their practice squad, a running back who spent time on the practice squad earlier this season.
Igwebuike, who went undrafted out of Northwestern in 2018, came into the league as a safety, and spent time with Tampa Bay, San Francisco, Philadelphia, the New York Jets and the Seattle Dragons of the XFL. After signing with Detroit last year, Igwebuike was converted to running back, and he rushed for 118 yards and a score on 18 carries while also catching seven passes for 60 yards.
Igwebuike initially signed to Seattle's practice squad in September after running back Travis Homer suffered an injury that landed him on injured reserve, then was released from the practice squad last month when Homer returned from IR.
The Seahawks had an open spot on their practice squad after signing Bruce Irvin to the 53-man roster last week.
