The Seahawks signed rookie running back SaRodorick Thompson on Monday, adding depth at running back with Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet both dealing with injuries.
Safety Morell Osling and linebacker Cam Bright, both of whom signed with the Seahawks as undrafted rookies in May, were waived.
Thompson, who initially signed with the Saints after going undrafted out of Texas Tech, rushed for 2,664 yards and 40 touchdowns during his college career while also contributing 520 receiving yards on 91 catches. A three-time All-Big 12 honorable mention pick, Thompson rushed for 684 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022, his fourth straight season with at least 500 yards and seven touchdowns.
Thompson is the second running back signed by Seattle since the start of camp, joining fellow undrafted rookie Wayne Taulapapa, who signed on Friday.
The Seahawks closed out the weekend in front of the 12s at practice on Sunday, July 30, 2023.
