Receiver Ty Scott is back with the Seahawks after signing to the practice squad on Tuesday.

Scott, who initially signed Seattle at the beginning of training camp, was waived when the Seahawks reduced to 53 players prior to the start of the regular season.

Linebacker Michael Barrett was released to make room on the practice squad.

Scott came into the league last year as an undrafted free agent out of Missouri State, signing with Kansas City Chiefs. After being waived prior to the start of the season, Scott signed with the DC Defenders of the United Football League, and went on to lead Defenders in receiving, gaining 418 yards on 25 receptions while scoring three touchdowns.

In two seasons at Missouri State, Scott caught 114 passes for 1,784 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning first-team All-MVFC honors in 2021 and honorable mention recognition in 2022.

Barrett, a rookie out of Michigan, was selected by the Panthers in the seventh round of this year's draft, then was acquired by Seattle in a trade last month in exchange for cornerback Michael Jackson.
