INGLEWOOD—Tyler Lockett didn't practice all week in order to rest a hamstring injury, but he is still active for the Seahawks' Week 7 game against the Chargers.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said despite the lack of work during the week, Lockett had a good chance of playing, and noted that if anyone was able to play without any practice, it's Lockett.
"If there's anybody in the program that we can do this with, he could do it," Carroll said Friday.
Also active is rookie safety Joey Blount, who was added to the injury report Saturday as questionable due to illness. As expected, receiver Penny Hart, cornerback Artie Burns and guard Gabe Jackson are all inactive after being listed as doubtful, as is cornerback Sidney Jones IV, who was listed as questionable.
As expected, outside linebacker Bruce Irvin is active after being elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, marking his first game with the Seahawks since he tore his ACL in Week 2 of the 2020 season.
Like Seattle, the Chargers had one of their top receivers listed as questionable, and Keenan Allen is active, meaning he'll be playing for the first time since the Chargers' season-opener.
