The 2024 NFL Draft is just eight days away, here's what the experts believe the Seahawks will do with pick No.16 in April's draft.
16. Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas
Seattle needs to hammer the interior of the defensive line at some point early in the draft, and Murphy is the best defensive tackle in the class. He is explosive as a pass-rusher and he plays with power, torque and leverage in the running game.
16. Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington
One of my favorite team-player pairings in this entire first-round projection has been Troy Fautanu and the Seahawks. Seattle dealt with injuries at the offensive tackle positions last year, and as the Huskies' left tackle, Fautanu offers positional flexibility despite being projected to guard at the next level. Damien Lewis signed with Carolina in free agency, and Fautanu has familiarity with the franchise's new offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
16. Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington
The Seahawks stay local and snag the versatile offensive lineman from the University of Washington. Seattle can insert Fautanu wherever needed up front, and the nimble, nasty blocker significantly upgrades the unit on Day 1.
16. Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington
Laken Tomlinson's signing fills one hole at guard, but the Seahawks' shaky interior is due for additional investment. Offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb shouldn't have trouble helping his fleet-footed former Huskies pupil navigate the move from left tackle to the inside.
16. Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington
Seattle needs help on the offensive line. New offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb knows a guy -- and he's local! Fautanu could follow Grubb from the University of Washington to the Seahawks and immediately fill a need on the interior, while also offering the versatility to kick outside if necessary.
16. Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington
The Seahawks lost guard Damien Lewis and center Evan Brown in free agency, and they haven't re-signed their other guard from last season in Phil Haynes. That tells me they're locking in on offensive line in Round 1, and Troy Fautanu is a worthy choice. He played left tackle at Washington but will probably be best suited inside in the NFL.
