Pick: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
"The new-look Seahawks add another weapon for Sam Darnold in Golden, who shined down the stretch for the Longhorns."
Pick: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
"As a five-position player with a high IQ and polished technique, Zabel's perfect for a Seahawks front that needs upgrades across the board."
Pick: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
"DK Metcalf sought and received a trade, leaving Seattle in need of a strong outside receiver like the 6-4 1/8, 219-pound McMillan. He joins Jaxon Smith-Njigba and free-agent acquisitions Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to stretch defenses horizontally and vertically."
Pick: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
"On offense, Sam Darnold (three years, $100.5 million) replaced Geno Smith, and Cooper Kupp (three years, $45 million) stepped in following the exits of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, leaving Jaxon Smith-Njigba as the lone returning starter in the receiving corps. Signing Kupp does not rule out taking a wideout with an early-round pick; rather, the 'Hawks should still be in the market for an "X" receiver like McMillan. Addressing the offensive line is also on the table, but given that the most immediate needs there are at guard, and GM John Schneider is reluctant to overpay for guards, it seems more likely he addresses the trenches with at least one of his four Day 2 picks."
Pick: Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas
"With Sam Darnold, Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling replacing Geno Smith, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett over the past two weeks, perhaps no team has undergone a greater transition in its passing game than the Seahawks. The same old issues persist up front, however. Banks was money at left tackle for the Longhorns, but his burly frame and game project better inside at left guard."
Pick: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
"Tight ends play a big role in the offense that new coordinator Klint Kubiak is installing in Seattle, but the Seahawks don't have a big-time talent at tight end. Insert Warren, who is one of the best players in the draft and could be a steal in Seattle's offense given his athleticism and wide array of skills."
Pick: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
"In swapping out Geno Smith for Sam Darnold and replacing DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett with Cooper Kupp, the Seahawks have fully embraced the vision for a Klint Kubiak offense. The next logical step: importing Zabel, who can shore up the pressing deficiency at guard and looks tailor-made for a heavy dose of outside zone runs."
Pick: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
"Golden is a talented player whose movement skills should translate well to the NFL. His advanced avenues of success — whether through beating press, impressive footwork, after-the-catch ability or kick-return prowess — make him a player who could be a high-end WR2 in the league."
Pick: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State
"This might be the most need-versus-best-player-available battle in the first round. Boldly signing quarterback Sam Darnold raises the offense's ceiling, but only if the Seahawks' pass blocking improves. This might be Zabel's draft peak. The powerful lineman can play everywhere. Seattle needs him at guard."
Pick: Tyler Booker, G, Alabama
"Over 1,924 career snaps in college, Booker allowed exactly one sack. I like his strong base in pass pro, and he plays with confidence and great technique. The Seahawks made changes at quarterback (Geno Smith to Sam Darnold) and offensive coordinator (Ryan Grubb to Klint Kubiak), and they now have to clean up the interior pass protection. They were 21st in pass block win rate last season (58.5%). Booker could be key to a turnaround."
