Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Friday, May 3 – about your Seattle Seahawks:
#EnjoyTheProcess
As the work week comes to a close, the Seahawks rookies' work is far from over. Friday kicks off the Seahawks' 2019 Rookie Minicamp and the Virginia Mason Athletic Center is buzzing with activity as the rookies, trainers, and coaches prepare for the busy weekend.
Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor posted on Instagram wishing all of the rookies good luck this weekend. Perhaps he was feeling a little nostalgic back to his time as a rookie nine years ago.
The Super Bowl XLVIII champ imparted some wise words via the caption of his post, saying, "I hope you come in with the mentality to not only take care of business but to also have fun during the process. Take it all in and leave the doubt at home." Chancellor also added a little bit of comic relief in the caption saying, "Like I always say, 'If you get scared, get a dog,'" Not a bad motto to live by, I might add.
Chancellor attended his rookie minicamp back in 2010 after being selected by the Seahawks in the fifth round of the NFL Draft at No. 133 overall. He has spent his entire career in Seattle since and continues to make a huge impact in the franchise's culture.
As for the 2019 rookies, their first practice starts at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Scroll down to the first link in 'More From Around The Web' to read up on Coach Carroll's breakdown of the three-day minicamp.
