Good afternoon, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Monday, November 27 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Seahawks linebacker Jordyn Brooks is having a career-year less than a year after an ACL tear.

Linebacker Jordyn Brooks saw his 2022 season come to a premature end on the field, tearing his ACL in Week 17 against the New York Jets. Less than a year after the injury, the fourth-year Texas Tech alum is putting up career numbers - and stepping up as a leader.

Seattle heads into Week 13 looking to snap a two-game skid, coming off division losses to the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. In Seattle's 31-13 loss to the 49ers on Thanksgiving Day, Brooks led the defense with 12 tackles, while recording his first-career interception, which he returned 12 yards for his first NFL touchdown. Brooks spoke after the game about the opportunity ahead of the 6-5 Seahawks, as they look to push for a playoff spot in their final six games.

"(We have to) look at ourselves, " said Brooks. "Hold ourselves accountable and be truthful for what we see on the film and how we can get better. We've got six games left. It's playoff mode right now. I think we just got to come to work and come ready to work and take it day-by-day."

With 95 tackles through 11 games played, Brooks needs just five tackles for his third-consecutive season of 100-plus. In addition, Brooks has recorded seven tackles for loss, three passes defensed and a career-high 3.5 sacks.

Just 11 months ago, Brooks was hurt mid-game against New York, missing the regular-season finale as well as Seattle's NFC Wild Card matchup against San Francisco. Now, he's stepping up to attempt to rally the troops to their second-consecutive playoff appearance. Brooks was filmed during Thursday's matchup trying to inspire his teammates on the sideline. Brooks continues to provide the high level of play that he's demanding of his defensive teammates, recording 10-plus tackles in six contests.

When Brooks stepped onto the for the season-opener against the Los Angeles Rams, his return less than eight months after surgery earned the praise and respect of many inside the building and beyond. Now, it's time to appreciate Brooks' rise as one of the league's best young linebackers.
