Good afternoon, 12s.
Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today - Monday, July 22 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Summer, Summer, Summertime
This past weekend, you may have caught a **social media tease** from Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson, who plugged a 'Seahawks Summer Camp' video series set to drop this week, and Monday brought 12s **a look at Day 1 of a summer workout session Wilson hosted at his home** alongside several of his offensive teammates.
Getting players together for informal workouts during the time between the conclusion of mandatory minicamp in mid-June and the start of training camp in late-July is nothing new for Wilson, who in past years has hosted summer training sessions on the beaches of Southern California and Hawaii. And as usual, this year's activities are as much about the bonding time spent with new teammates as it is about the work on the field.
"I wanted to have an opportunity to get to know these guys on a more personal level, and for them to get to know me," Wilson says in the YouTube video's description. "We had rookies like DK Metcalf, Gary Jennings, and Jazz Ferguson, all the way to vets like Nick Vannett, CJ Prosise, and Ed Dickson. We trained, watched film, and of course got into some friendly hoops around the world competition. John Ursua and I went 14-0, and that's all I'm gonna say about that. Day one of #SummerCamp definitely set the bar high for the rest of the weekend!"
You can subscribe to **Wilson's YouTube channel** to be notified about remaining videos in the 'Seahawks Summer Camp' series.
Social Post Of The Day
Today's 'Social Post of the Day' comes from Seahawks Legend Kam Chancellor, who showcases a photo of himself, Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner, and former Seahawks cornerback DeShawn Shead dressed up for a 90s-themed party and wishing Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright a happy birthday. Wright turns 30 years old this Tuesday, July 23.
