Monday Round-Up: Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett Continues Elite Pace

Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett continues a historic pace in year eight.

Good afternoon, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Monday, January 30 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Tyler Lockett Continues Historic Pace In Eighth Season

The 2022 season marked the fourth-consecutive 1,000-yard season for Seahawks wideout Tyler Lockett. With 1,033 yards on 84 receptions, the Kansas State alum recorded 50 first downs for the second time in his career. But with nine receiving touchdowns, Lockett becomes the only player in the NFL to record eight or more touchdowns over the last five-consecutive seasons.

Last week, Lockett graded out as ESPN Analytics’ No.3 receiver for the 2022 season, yet managed to only be selected as a Pro Bowl alternate. Battling thru injuries, Lockett helped the 9-8 Seahawks earn an NFC Wild Card berth, falling to the San Francisco 49ers 41-23. The 30-year-old scored a touchdown in every week of November en-route to a six-week streak of reaching the end zone.

Over the last five years, Lockett has been on the receiving end of 46 touchdowns. Since 2015, he leads all NFL players in all-purpose yardage. Statistics show a wideout that continues to etch his name in the record books as Seattle looks to put together another champion contender in Lockett's time.
