Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today – Monday, June 27 – about your Seattle Seahawks.
Poona Ford Gives Back With SOAR Day
The Seattle Seahawks take pride in giving back to the community, from the front office to the players on the field. This weekend current Seahawks star wideout DK Metcalf and Seahawks legends Cliff Avril, Doug Baldwin and Michael Bennett hosted two charity sports events for Seattle to enjoy. While Metcalf and a slew of Seahawks legends held events for Emerald City; Seahawks defensive lineman Poona Ford held his own event for the youth this weekend.
Seattle defensive tackle Poona Ford is an ever-growing presence on the Seahawks front, with no pun-intended toward his 300-plus pound frame. Ford 802 defensive snaps in 2021 were 10th-most amongst all NFL interior defensive linemen. But the 2018 undrafted free agent from the University of Texas did it for another nation of Seahawks Saturday. The Beaufort, SC native and Hilton Head High star hosted his annual SOAR Day for the community.
The community event was a giveback day for Ford, providing music, food, activities and fun for all ages.
