Good afternoon, 12s. Here's a look at what's going on out there and any news you might have missed, about your Seattle Seahawks this week.
Trades!
The Seahawks made a pair of trades heading into the third and final preseason game on Saturday. On Thursday, the Seahawks traded cornerback Michael Jackson to the Carolina Panthers to add some depth at linebacker. Friday morning, the Seahawks traded linebacker Darrell Taylor to the Chicago Bears for a 2025 sixth-round pick.
The Sound: Season 3, Episode 2: Chasing Execution
The second installment of The Sound is here and before the grind of the season, the Seahawks callous up in Tennessee with a few joint practices. In this episode, Jake Bobo talks about making the most of his opportunities and wanting to contribute to the team's success, while Jay Harbaugh gets some laughs as he compares week 1 of the preseason to a science fair volcano. K'Von Wallace speaks on the respect he has for his former organization. And in the words of Coach Macdonald: the team keeps answering the bell. This episode is narrated by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Shaquem Griffin joins UCF Hall of Fame
The University of Central Florida announced that Seahawks Legend Shaquem Griffin will be inducted into the 2024 UCF Athletics Hall of Fame. Shaquem Griffin is known to many fans as the man who made it to the NFL with just one hand. The Seahawks drafted Griffin in 2018 and he spent three seasons with the team.
Seahawks Host Youth Football Station At KC Play Equity Event
All the pro teams in the came together to put on a free youth sports sampling camp for marginalized youth. The Seahawks hosted a youth football station at the camp, helping youth practice their football skills.
