Good afternoon, 12s. Here's a look at what's going on out there and any news you might have missed, about your Seattle Seahawks this week.

Seahawks Legends Marshawn Lynch and Michael Robinson team up for podcast

After finishing their football careers, both Marshawn Lynch and Mike Robinson have found success in other realms. For Lynch it's been acting, show appearances and podcast hosting. For Robinson, it's being an analyst for NFL Network.

Lynch already appears on a podcast called Politickin' with Gavin Newsom and Doug Hendrickson where they chat all things "Gavin Newsom like you've never heard him and Marshawn Lynch exactly how you'd expect him."

This new podcast will allow the former teammates to give their thoughts on the "hottest topics in the world of pop culture."

"I'm hella ready to get Da Get Got Pod rockin'. Me and Mike Rob got some shit done on the field and now we lookin to put some shit together off it. Mike's been making his moves as an analyst for NFL Network since he hung up his spikes. But he's had these ideas of talking since we were at Seattle and I've just been taking notes," said Marshawn Lynch on creating this new show. "Playmaker is blessin' us with a platform to talk our talk and reach the listeners in a way that ain't just X's and O's. They're letting us have uncensored honest convos and just share our POV's. Me and Mike plan to chop it up with our guests that include friends, family, rivals, teammates, coaches, legends, and even some youngsters. Everyone's on deck to bring their "ism" to the show."

"Let's GOOO!!! Been thinking about Da Get Got Pod since our Real Rob Report Messin' Wit Marshawn segments back in Seattle! Creating a show that allows football to be the driving force for honest and engaging conversations about life and current events was always the goal," added Mike Robinson. "Shout out to Playmaker!! For real! I needed an outlet where I can be more of myself and be authentic! Playmaker provides the perfect platform for fans to peek inside a friendship that helped power a Super Bowl championship."

During each weekly show, the former Super Bowl champion and All-Pro running back will bring audiences his takes on the sports world, with episodes coming out in tandem with each week of the NFL season. Lynch and Robinson will also delve into the worlds of entertainment and pop culture, shining a light on any and all things currently relevant. With both Lynch and Robinson's competitive backgrounds, Da Get Got Pod promises to deliver engaging conversations and insights during every episode.

The podcast is launching on September 5th.

Seahawks Host HS Football Team From Minnesota

As part of the Nike Kickoff Classic Football weekend, the Seahawks hosted the Red Lake Warrior High School program from Minnesota at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center for practice. The Seahawks helped provide the players and coaches with more opportunities to be inspired by football and by life experiences.

Seahawks Announce 2024 Task Force 12 Members

The Seahawks are proud to announce our 2024 members of Task Force 12: a family of local military nonprofits that we work with throughout the year: providing support and services to ALL veterans and their loved ones: inclusive of race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, military branch, and/or disability status.

Seahawks Celebrate Black Philanthropy Month

Last week at our matchup against the Browns, the Seahawks supported Black Philanthropy Month by offering the opportunity to donate in game to the Black Future Co-op Fund. And as a thank you for celebrating a cause close to our organization, the Pro Shop gave fans the chance to win a Tyler Lockett jersey on us. We encourage fans to make an impact year-round by continuing to support Black charities and funds.
