Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's going on out there and any news you might have missed, about your Seattle Seahawks this week.

Congratulations to Hawaii on the Sanctioning of Girls Flag

The Seahawks are proud to support our neighboring state of Hawaii and congratulate them on making Girls Flag Football an official high school sport! The Future of Football is Female.

In a press release sent by the Hawaii High School Athletic Association, the HHSAA and the Hawai'i State Department of Education teamed up with the National Football League, the Seattle Seahawks and Nike, to make high school girls' flag football a sanctioned sport. Starting this upcoming school year, all public high schools can offer varsity girls' flag football, which makes Hawai'i the 12th state in the country to sanction it as a high school sport.

"With the potential for 1,000 female athletes statewide to participate in the inaugural season, these young women are not just making history — they are trailblazing a path for future generations of female high school athletes. Their involvement will inspire and empower countless others in the years to come," HIDOE Superintendent Keith Hayashi said. "The Department appreciates the partnership with HHSAA, our generous sponsors and our dedicated athletic directors and school administrators for providing this historic opportunity."

Football Fest at Lumen Field on Saturday

The Seahawks will be practicing at Lumen Field, as part of training camp, on Saturday, to give fans a chance to experience Seahawks football inside the stadium. Gates at Lumen Field open at Noon and the practice begins at 1 p.m. You can buy tickets here. Read more about everything you can find at Football Fest here.

Seahawks make a $5K donation as part of the Western WA Toyota Dealers False Starts Community Program

Earlier this week at training camp, the Seahawks made a donation to InvestEd as part of their false starts program that donates money to InvestEd for every false start an opposing team has inside Lumen Field against the Sehawks.
