Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Tuesday, August 27 – about your Seattle Seahawks:
Serving Up More Than Pancakes
On the field, we all love watching Seahawks guard D.J. Fluker stacking up those pancakes (flattening defenders). But off the field, Fluker is stacking notebooks, pencil pouches, and other school supplies.
The Seahawks guard announced via Twitter on Tuesday morning that he'll be giving out FREE school supplies on Monday, September 2 at Jefferson Park. Fluke's team will be set up from 12-4 p.m. to supply students with what they need for the upcoming school year.
This isn't his first time helping out the community, as Fluke hosted a free youth football camp earlier in May of this year. I think it's safe to say that this key player to our offensive line enjoys going out in the community to give back.
Social Post Of The Day
Today's 'Social Post of the Day' comes from Bloodworks Northwest, as they posted photos from their Huddle for 100 Blood Drive on Monday, hosted in the North Plaza of CenturyLink Field.
