Good morning, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today — Tuesday, September 20 — about your Seattle Seahawks.

Geno Smith trademarks, "They wrote me off, I ain't write back though."

You can go viral on social media in so many ways, especially based on the things you say. Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith took a leap into the trademark world last week following Seattle's Week 1 17-16 victory over the Denver Broncos.

Following the Seahawks season-opening 17-16 win over the Denver Broncos on ESPN, Smith made a quote in the post-game interview that would go viral.

"They wrote me off, I ain't write back though."

It didn't take a million retweets and replays on ESPN and other sports networks for Smith to realize he could secure the phrase. Two days after the Seahawks win, Smith filed for a trademark.

The Seahawks starter went 24-30 for 197 yards in Sunday's 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll discussed Smith's performance following the loss while spreading the blame.

"He couldn't get going," said Carroll. "He just couldn't get rolling and nothing worked. We didn't do anything anywhere. I didn't see him do anything that really took us out of the game. I thought he was going along with it, but we just needed to have a whole complement of ball on both sides of the football."

The Seahawks look to write a similar winning script to their Week 1 victory when the Atlanta Falcons come to Lumen Field Sunday.
