Good afternoon, 12s. Here's a look at what's out there today – Wednesday, September 27 – about your Seattle Seahawks.
Geno Smith talks about some of the highlighting moments of this season so far.
In the Week 3 win over the Panthers, the 12s finally got #MoreBobo as wide receiver Jake Bobo got his first touchdown on an amazing catch at the back of the endzone. On an "Inside the NFL" segment Smith wentinto detail about what kind of player Bobo is.
"He plays like a veteran. He prepares like a veteran. He's one of those guys who, we have to find him and get him the ball because he's doing such special things out there on the field."
Another rookie that Smith talked about during the segment was wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. During the game Smith and Smith-Njigba had a moment on the sideline where Smith was giving advice to the rookie, a play after Smith was intercepted on a pass to Smith-Njigba
"It was one of those things where I just noticed on the sideline he was kind of down about it and obviously we have a lot of talent on this team, there's only one football. I want to get Jaxon the ball as much as possible. I just wanted him to keep his head in the game. I know how hard he works. I know how prepared he is to go out there and make plays."
Smith went on to talk about how it's his job to make sure that Smith-Njigbagets the ball and Smith didn't want him to worry about that in the moment and to continue doing what he's good at.
"Just doing his job, running great routes and trusting that I'd get him the football. When you've got young guys who are so talented and they got such high expectations, sometimes that could weigh on you and I know what that's like, I've been through it."
