The Seahawks signed 15 players to their practice squad on Wednesday, all of whom were waived or released by the team a day earlier as NFL teams had to reduce their rosters to 53 players.

Among those signed to the practice squad is veteran cornerback Artie Burns, who had been the team's top corner in camp behind starters Riq Woolen, Devon Witherspoon and Tre Brown, and who occasionally got work with the first team defense as the nickel corner. Burns is one of two veteran players added to the practice squad along with former second-round pick Marquise Blair, who returned to Seattle earlier this summer after spending time with the Panthers and Eagles over the past two seasons before missing the 2023 season with a torn Achilles.

Burns also began last season on Seattle's practice squad, being elevated for the first two games before later signing to the 53-man roster.

The group of practice squad signings also includes linebacker Michael Barrett, who was acquired in a trade last week, undrafted rookie running back George Holani and receiver Easop Winston Jr, a pair of preseason standouts, and offensive linemen McClendon Curtis and Raiqwon O'Neal, who spent most of last season on Seattle's 53-man roster.
