Round-Up_8.1.19

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Thursday, August 1 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Seattle Storm Championship Night

After claiming their third ever WNBA championship title back in September of 2018, the Seattle Storm will be hosting their 'Seattle Pro Sports Championships' night ahead of their matchup with the Washington Mystics on Friday evening.

To represent the Seattle Seahawks, Legend Cliff Avril will be in attendance. Not only will he be reppin' our team, but Avril will take the spotlight during the half-time presentation to proudly present the Lombardi trophy. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that Blitz will be there as Avril's right-hand man.

The Seahawks won't be the only championship-winning professional franchise present at the Angels of the Winds Arena up in Everett, Washington. The list of featured guests includes former SuperSonics head coach Lenny Wilkens, Seawolves flanker Eric Duechle, and a special member of the Sounders FC.

An article published on the Storm's website described the night in detail, reading, "The Storm is proud to honor the accomplishments and accolades of the Seahawks, SuperSonics, Sounders FC and Seawolves with a special halftime presentation featuring the mascots and championship trophies from each team. From 90 minutes before tip-off through the end of the first quarter, fans can take photos with the mascots and trophies in the Icebox, including Doppler and the Storm's three WNBA trophies."

In case you don't remember, the Storm defeated the Mystics to claim the 2018 WNBA championship title, so this should be quite the exciting matchup.
