Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Thursday, September 12 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Dine With Avril To Make A Difference

Can you imagine an NFL player pouring you a fine glass of Chardonnay?

In its sixth year running, Seahawks Legend Cliff Avril's Dining to Make a Difference event is set to take place on September 23. The annual event has historically featured a handful of Seahawks players and coaches pose as celebrity waiters for the three-course charity dinner.

Last year's event included former Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark, cornerback Shaquill Griffin, linebacker Shaquem Griffin, Legend Kam Chancellor, linebacker K.J. Wright, and offensive tackle Duane Brown. To no surprise, Avril’s event page reads that "this year is sure to be even more exciting. The night includes a live and silent auction, raffle; and interaction with some of your favorite players."

All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Cliff Avril Family Foundation, which the former defensive end started in 2014 to increase awareness of Type 2 diabetes in youth. In recent years, the foundation has expanded to execute humanitarian efforts in Haiti, where Avril's roots lie, in addition to working with community-based organizations in Seattle and Jacksonville (Avril's native town of Jacksonville).

Avril himself tweeted out a photo on Tuesday from last year's event to promote this year.

Fellow Seahawks Legend Doug Baldwin quote retweeted his former teammate, saying, "get your tickets to support my brother's event!"
