CBS Sports' Top 100 Players
Reflecting on player performances from 2017 and looking ahead to the 2018 campaign, CBS Sports' Pete Prisco released his annual ranking of the best 100 NFL players this week.
Three Seahawks made the top-100 in linebacker Bobby Wagner (25), quarterback Russell Wilson (42) and safety Earl Thomas (78). Additionally, wide receiver Doug Baldwin was listed among the players who just missed the cut this year. Here's what Prisco had to say about each player:
Wagner
He was the best middle linebacker in the league last season. On a defense hit with injuries, he was their best player.
*Wilson *His ability to turn bad plays into great ones is as good as any quarterback in the league. This year, the offense should be his, which will help his numbers go up.
Thomas
Injuries have slowed his career some, but when he's on the field he's still a game-changing player on the back end.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished atop the list at No. 1 for the second year in a row. Furthermore, Jacksonville had the most players on the list with eight in the top-100.
