Seahawks tight end Greg Olsen will wear No. 88 after making a donation to the charity of fellow tight end Will Dissly’s choice.

Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's 'out there' for today – Tuesday, February 25 – about your Seattle Seahawks:

Behind The Numbers

One of the many questions you may have had when the team signed tight end Greg Olsen—What jersey number will the former Carolina Panther wear?

Ponder no longer as Seahawks general manager John Schneider answered the widely-asked question. Standing at the podium during a press conference at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, Schneider was asked about the signing of Greg Olsen and the tight end position in general.

"Great guy," said Schneider speaking on Olsen. "[He's] going to help that room a bunch."

"Diss is doing great," the Seahawks GM continued as he dove further into the Seahawks TEs. "Greg's going to wear 88. I guess they worked out a deal and the money is going to Dissly's charity of his choice, which is pretty cool."

Olsen wore No. 88 throughout his time with the Carolina Panthers (2011 – 2019), so it's cool to see that he came to a philanthropically-themed agreement with the second-year TE Will Dissly.
