Friday Injury Report
The Seahawks have officially ruled tackle Charles Cross and cornerback/safety Coby Bryant out of the Week 3 matchup with the Carolina Panthers due to toe injuries. Neither of them were able to practice this week.
Cornerback Riq Woolen and tight end Will Dissly are listed as doubtful for Sunday as they are still trying to recover from injuries suffered in the overtime victory in Detroit. Woolen exited the game with a chest injury and did not return. When asked about Woolen, head coach Pete Carroll said, "Riq is getting really close. He's run hard and all of that. We will see what happens here, the week isn't over yet. I would really think that we could count on him next week." Dissly has been dealing with a shoulder injury since last week and it prevented him practicing all week.
Seven players are listed as questionable for Sunday including DK Metcalf (ribs), Julian Love (hamstring), Quandre Diggs (hamstring), Jamal Adams (knee), Jarran Reed (groin), Phil Haynes (calf), and DeeJay Dallas (illness). Adams was able to make it through the week without any setbacks and could potentially make his season debut on Sunday, but if not Sunday, it would most likely be next Monday night against the Giants. "He practiced really well," said head coach Pete Carroll. "He's as close as he can get to going. We will see how this winds up, but he will be in the middle of it next week for sure."
While Diggs has been dealing with a hamstring issue this week, coach Carroll says that Diggs expects to play this Sunday. "He feels like he is playing," said Carroll on Friday afternoon." Despite dealing with a ribs injury, Metcalf fully participated in practice on Friday and is expected to play Sunday, barring any setbacks.
As expected, Panthers quarterback Bryce Young will be unavailable for Sunday's matchup with the Seahawks. The 2021 Heisman Trophy winner did not practice all week due to an ankle injury. That means that Andy Dalton will get the start in the rookie's place. Dalton is a 13-year veteran with a ton of game experience as he has started 162 games, passing for over 38,000 yards and 244 touchdowns.
Young is the only player for Carolina that has been ruled out and veteran outside linebacker Justin Houston has been listed as questionable. Edge rusher Brian Burns and running back Miles Sanders were limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but full participated in Friday's practice. They are expected to be available for Sunday's game as they are not listed in the game status report.

Thursday Injury Report
The Seahawks continued to practice without many key players on Thursday afternoon as 11 players were absent. On the offensive side of the ball, tackle Charles Cross (toe), tight end Will Dissly (shoulder), wide receiver DK Metcalf (ribs), guard Damien Lewis (ankle) and guard Phil Haynes (calf) all missed practice due to injuries.
Similarly, the defense was missing a handful of players in Thursday's practice. Cornerback Riq Woolen (chest), cornerback/safety Coby Bryant (toe), safety Quandre Diggs (hamstring), safety Julian Love (hamstring), nose tackle Jarran Reed (groin), and linebacker Jordyn Brooks (NIR-resting player/knee) did not practice. The team's depth could play a pivotal role in Sunday's contest versus the Panthers if these injuries continue to affect the team.
Safety Jamal Adams was a full participant in Wednesday's practice but was limited on Thursday afternoon as the team is trying not to rush him back. In positive news, linebackers Boye Mafe and Devin Bush were limited in practice today after missing Wednesday's practice.
Center Evan Brown returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday afternoon. Brown exited the victory over the Lions with a knee injury but was able to return a few snaps later.
The Panthers are also dealing with injuries to some of their most important players as rookie quarterback Bryce Young missed practice for the second straight day due to an ankle injury. With the Panthers coming off a short week, they could be without their starting quarterback for their trip to Seattle. If that is the case, the Panthers would turn to veteran Andy Dalton to start under center. The Seahawks faced off with Dalton last season when he was the starter for the New Orleans Saints. Pro Bowl edge rusher Brian Burns and running back Miles Sanders were limited for the second consecutive day due to injuries.

Wednesday Injury Report
The Seahawks were missing some key contributors for Wednesday afternoon's practice as they are recovering from injuries. Most notably, DK Metcalf and Riq Woolen did not practice due to injuries they suffered in the Week 2 overtime victory in Detroit. Woolen exited the game in Detroit and did not return due to a chest injury and his status for Sunday's contest is in question. "He's pretty sore. It's going to be a pretty good recovery for him to get back," said coach Pete Carroll regarding the Pro Bowl cornerback. The injury doesn't seem too severe as Carroll dismissed the idea of Woolen being placed on injured reserve.
DK Metcalf returned to action against Detroit after leaving the game with a rib injury and is expected to be available on Sunday. "He's going to make it through the week, he'll be all right," said coach Carroll. "We'll take care of him, but he's going to be all right."
The team could be without left tackle Charles Cross for another week as he is dealing with a toe injury that he suffered in Week 1 and prevented him from playing in Week 2. The Seahawks will rely on Stone Forsythe if Cross can't go again.
A few other key members of the secondary missed the first practice of the week as Coby Bryant (toe) and Julian Love (hamstring) were unavailable. Also missing practice on the defensive side of the ball was Jarran Reed (groin), Devin Bush (shoulder) and Boye Mafe (knee). The depth on defense could potentially get a lot of reps in practice this week with many starters missing practice on Wednesday.
While many defenders missed practice, Jamal Adams was a full participant in practice as he is making his way towards playing for the first time since Week 1 of the 2022 season. While there is certainly optimism for his return, it's still uncertain if he will make it this Sunday. "There's always the possibility that he could play, because he's practicing with us, he'll go full-go today and have a great week, I hope," Carroll said. "We're planning on making sure we don't do it until the time is exactly right, so we're trying to measure that, sensing how he feels and all of that. He's really excited about how close he is, so we'll see what happens."
Tight end Will Dissly was another starter that was held out of practice on Wednesday afternoon as he is dealing with a shoulder injury. While Dissly missed practice, Noah Fant was a full participant despite dealing with a ribs injury.
A couple more offensive lineman got banged up in the most recent game as center Evan Brown and guard Phil Haynes were limited in practice on Wednesday.
The Carolina Panthers were missing some key players from practice as they are coming off a loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. Their number one overall pick in this year's draft, Bryce Young, missed practice on Wednesday as he is dealing with an ankle injury. Star linebacker Brian Burns (ankle) and running back Miles Sanders (pectoral) were limited in practice.
