Wednesday Injury Report

The Seahawks held their first practice of the week on Wednesday afternoon and were missing five players, four due to injury and one for resting purposes. Two of the team's three leading receivers, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, sat out on Wednesday because of a shoulder and knee injury respectively. Both players were able to fully play in the win over the Cardinals last week.

Defensive lineman Leonard Williams, who is coming off what he considers his best game as a Seahawk last week, was unable to practice because of a foot injury that has placed him on the injury report in recent weeks. Despite the foot injury, Williams has played in every game this season. Nose tackle Jarran Reed was the one Seahawk to get the day off for resting purposes. Safety AJ Finley, who was claimed off of waivers on Tuesday, was held out of Wednesday's practice because of an ankle injury.

Two players who had spent recent weeks on injured reserve, Uchenna Nwosu and Stone Forsythe, were designated to return to practice this week and both players were able to participate in some capacity. Nwosu has only played in one game this season because of knee and thigh injuries but is making progress towards returning to game action. "This is a ramp portion. Today he'll be limited, and we'll go from there," said head coach Mike Macdonald prior to Wednesday's practice. While Nwosu was limited, Forsythe returned to practice as a full participant after being placed on injured reserve last month with a hand injury. Tight end Brady Russell returned to practice as a limited participant after missing the past two games due to a foot injury.

The Jets were missing four players for Wednesday's practice as two players were dealing with injuries, one with an illness and another for personal reasons. Running back Breece Hall (knee) and left tackle Tyron Smith (neck) were the two players to sit out because of injuries. Three players were listed as full participants including former Seahawks cornerback D.J. Reed who is dealing with a back injury.
